Frisco King Premieres December 18 on Paramount+ With Two Episodes

Paramount+ also released a teaser trailer for the Tulsa King spinoff, which stars Samuel L. Jackson as a New Orleans gangster.

Paramount+ announced that Frisco King, the Tulsa King spinoff written and executive produced by Taylor Sheridan, will debut with a two-episode premiere on December 18. New episodes will follow every Friday, according to Screen Rant.

A teaser trailer for the series was also released. Samuel L. Jackson stars as Russell Lee Washington Jr., a New Orleans gangster who expands his criminal influence into the suburbs of Frisco, Texas.

Sylvester Stallone will make a special appearance in Frisco King; he appears in the teaser as Dwight "The General" Manfredi. The main cast includes Asa Germann, Kai Caster, Lilah Pate and Savanna Gann alongside Jackson.

Christina Alexandra Voros and Michael Friedman each directed four episodes, with Voros helming the pilot.

Background

The spinoff was originally titled NOLA King, with the story set in New Orleans and Dave Erickson serving as showrunner and writer of the pilot episode. Erickson exited the series in July 2025, and a creative overhaul followed that included Sheridan writing all eight episodes. Jackson made his debut as Washington in Tulsa King season 3, episode 9.

Tulsa King stars Stallone and is heading into its fourth season. Season 4 will premiere on Paramount+ on October 16 and air through December 18, with its season finale falling on the same day as Frisco King's premiere. Tulsa King has already been renewed for season 5, and Sheridan's TV contract with Paramount lasts through the end of 2028.
