Dunkin' Promo Gives First Look at Gambit's Toned-Down Accent in Avengers: Doomsday

A Dunkin' Donuts promo for Avengers: Doomsday shows Channing Tatum's Gambit with a clearer Cajun accent, and Tatum confirms the character comes from the Fox timeline.

A new promotional video for Avengers: Doomsday made for Dunkin' Donuts has offered the first look at Channing Tatum's Gambit with a revised accent, according to ScreenRant. In the clip, Tatum has dialed back the character's Cajun accent compared with Deadpool & Wolverine, making Gambit easier to understand.

The video shows Gambit speaking with the Fantastic Four's robot H.E.R.B.I.E. Tatum also confirmed that his Gambit comes from the same Fox timeline as the returning X-Men actors, though he noted there is some ambiguity around that point.

Tatum said he is pushing for a Gambit solo movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and would like to lead one, on the condition that a very good director is signed on.

The actor first played Gambit in Deadpool & Wolverine in 2024, after years of failed attempts to get a solo film made. The character was a breakout in that film, and Marvel moved quickly on how to bring him back. In Deadpool & Wolverine, Gambit was already in the Void and his universe of origin was not revealed.

Avengers: Doomsday is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and runs 165 minutes. It is set for release on December 18, 2026.
