Game Changer Season 8 Ends, New Episodes Due Next Spring
Game Changer season 8 has wrapped, with new episodes expected next spring. Sam Reich weighs in on Rulette's future as Dropout expands.
Game Changer season 8 has finished airing, and new episodes are expected next spring, according to Polygon.
Host and Dropout CEO Sam Reich addressed the future of one of the show's recurring formats, Rulette. The game first appeared in season 7 with Jeremy Culhane, Anna Garcia, and Oscar Montoya, and returned in season 8 with Anna Garcia, Demi Adejuyigbe, and Josh Ruben.
Reich said he is not convinced Rulette would avoid becoming repetitive after 10 episodes, suggesting the format may not be expanded into a full series.
Game Changer has already spawned spinoffs. Make Some Noise became its own show after appearing on Game Changer, while Crowd Control was filmed as a spinoff before its Game Changer episode aired. Dropout launched Crowd Control a year ago.
Beyond streaming, Dropout has a board game Kickstarter and its first licensed content.
