Gareth Reynolds' new hour, filmed at The Den Theater in Chicago, premieres exclusively on Gorilla Comedy+ on October 19 before a YouTube release on November 10.
Gareth Reynolds has announced a new comedy special, Why Aren’t You Bigger?, produced in partnership with 800 Pound Gorilla. The hour will premiere exclusively on the streaming service Gorilla Comedy+ on October 19, according to Deadline.
The special was filmed at The Den Theater in Chicago and is described as an hour about life in an increasingly automated America.
After its exclusive window on Gorilla Comedy+, the special will premiere on YouTube at 7 p.m. CT on November 10.
Reynolds is known for his podcasts The Dollop, with Dave Anthony, and We’re Here to Help, with Jake Johnson. The latter advice show debuts new episodes on Hulu before they can be found elsewhere; Deadline reported the deal, which marked the streamer’s entrée into third-party podcast licensing, in February.
His first album, 2019’s Riddled With Disease, hit No. 1 on the Billboard Comedy Charts. He has also written on shows including Arrested Development and You’re the Worst, and performed on-screen in New Girl and Maron.
