Paramount Pictures has dated its G.I. Joe reboot for October 20, 2028, according to screenrant.com. Danny McBride will direct the film, and Bradley Cooper will star as Duke.
McBride co-wrote the adaptation with Jeff Fradley and John Carcieri. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Mark Vahradian and Zev Foreman will produce for Hasbro Entertainment.
Paramount has not revealed the film's storyline or any cast members beyond Cooper.
Cooper's casting in the project was confirmed a little over a month before this announcement. The G.I. Joe franchise had previously faced several setbacks and failed attempts to return to film.
