Netflix is bringing the arena home. Both Gladiator and Gladiator II will arrive on the streaming service on October 21, according to screenrant.com.
The original Gladiator, released in 2000, starred Russell Crowe as Maximus. Ridley Scott returned to direct the sequel, Gladiator II, which hit theaters in 2024 with Paul Mescal playing Lucius. Connie Nielsen reprised her role as Lucilla in the follow-up.
The two films won't be the only new arrivals that day. Emily, starring Emma Mackey, also lands on Netflix on October 21.
The streaming date comes as the franchise's future remains open. Scott said in August 2025 that another Gladiator movie was in process, though Mescal said in January that he planned to take on fewer large-scale projects.
