Godzilla Conquers The Multiverse #3 Hits Stands, #4 Due October 28

Marvel Comics has released Godzilla Conquers The Multiverse #3, the latest chapter in its ongoing series pitting the King of the Monsters against the publisher's heroes. The issue is available now.

The series continues on October 28 with Godzilla Conquers The Multiverse #4, also from Marvel Comics.

The new issues follow a long history of Godzilla facing off against Marvel characters. In Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe, Godzilla first fought the Marvel heroes, and in Godzilla: Infinity Roar, Knull upgraded Godzilla.

Godzilla's comic-book clashes build on decades of kaiju battles on film. In 1964's Mothra vs. Godzilla, Godzilla first battled Mothra. In 1974's Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla, Godzilla's solo history against Mechagodzilla began with a showdown at Mount Fuji and a final brawl in Okinawa. And in 2003's Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S., Mechagodzilla teamed with Mothra and her larvae in a three-way battle against Godzilla in Tokyo, ending in Mothra's death.
