Godzilla -0.0 popcorn box priced at 17,800 yen goes on sale November 2
The Prime Collection's 50-cm-tall popcorn box and a 4,800-yen drink cup will be sold at TOHO Cinemas nationwide, with a pre-sale on October 31 in Sendai.
The Prime Collection will release a Godzilla -0.0 popcorn box priced at 17,800 yen including tax and a drink cup priced at 4,800 yen including tax, both in limited quantities, the company announced. The items go on sale at TOHO Cinemas theaters nationwide from November 2, according to cinematoday.jp.
The popcorn box stands about 50 cm tall and comes with a large popcorn. Godzilla's back opens and closes so popcorn can be stored inside.
A pre-sale is held on October 31 at TOHO Cinemas Sendai. Buyers must hold a seat ticket for that day's Godzilla Minus One IMAX revival screening and stage greeting, and purchases are limited to one of each item per transaction.
On November 2 and November 3, buyers must show a reserved-seat ticket for Godzilla -0.0 at the theater, again limited to one of each item per transaction. From November 4, the products can be bought without a ticket while stock lasts.
Director, screenwriter and VFX supervisor Takashi Yamazaki commented that people would be surprised if told the item is a popcorn bucket.
