Heart of the Beast Tops $133 Million, Beats First John Wick

Brad Pitt's Heart of the Beast has grossed $133 million globally, surpassing the first John Wick, but has yet to recoup its $82 million budget.

Heart of the Beast, starring Brad Pitt and directed by David Ayer, has grossed $133 million worldwide, according to movieweb.com. The film, released on September 25, 2026, has now outgrossed the $86 million lifetime haul of the first John Wick. It has been in theaters for more than three weeks.

Despite the milestone, the film has not yet recouped its $82 million budget, with the majority of its earnings coming from the international market. It holds a 94% audience approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The original John Wick, directed by Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, was an indie production made on a $20 million budget, with its directors and star Keanu Reeves contributing financially. It went on to earn more than four times its budget and spawned a billion-dollar franchise with one spinoff and three sequels so far.

Pitt's highest-grossing film remains F1, which took in $634 million worldwide. His other top earners include World War Z with $540 million, Troy with $494 million, Mr. & Mrs. Smith with $487 million, and Ocean's Eleven with $450 million.
