All Five Hunger Games Films Free With Ads on Fandango at Home
Fandango and Lionsgate will make the five-film franchise free with limited commercials on Fandango at Home from Friday through Oct. 31.
Fandango and Lionsgate announced that all five Hunger Games films will be available to watch free, with ads, on Fandango at Home beginning Friday and running through Oct. 31, according to hollywoodreporter.com.
The free window covers The Hunger Games, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 and The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. The films will be presented with limited commercials.
The promotion arrives ahead of the franchise's next theatrical entry, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, which opens in theaters Nov. 20. The film is adapted from Suzanne Collins' novel and revisits Panem 24 years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the 50th Hunger Games, the Second Quarter Quell.
The new installment features Joseph Zada as Haymitch, a role Woody Harrelson played in previous Hunger Games films. Mckenna Grace plays Maysilee Donner, and Ralph Fiennes plays President Snow.
The five earlier films were previously available as a linear stream on an LG pop-up channel.
The franchise has collectively grossed $3.3 billion at the global box office.
