IDFA Unveils Over 100 Titles for 2026 Edition
IDFA's 39th edition, running November 12-22 in Amsterdam, adds more than 100 titles across four sections plus first DocLab projects.
The International Documentary Festival Amsterdam has announced more than 100 titles joining its 2026 lineup, spanning the Signed, Paradocs, Best of Fests and Short Documentary Competition sections, along with the first DocLab projects.
The 39th edition of IDFA will run November 12-22 in Amsterdam under artistic director Isabel Arrate Fernández.
The Signed section includes Ava DuVernay's 14th, Michał Marczak's Closure, and Once Upon a Time in Harlem, directed by David Greaves and produced by Liani Greaves. The category also features the shorts They're Here by Laura Poitras and Rachel Lauren Mueller, and The Revolution Against Death by Joshua Oppenheimer.
Best of Fests brings together almost 60 titles, among them Rehearsals for a Revolution, The Illusion of an Everlasting Summer and Citizen Osama.
DocLab's first unveiled projects include The Love Files and All the Downtime, each receiving €10,000 through the 2026 Film Fund DocLab Interactive Grant. The DocLab 20th anniversary program features Tamara Shogaolu's The Invisible Woman and Polymorf's Microbiome Restaurant.
The Short Documentary Competition includes 15 films, among them Another Sky by Evi Cats and All the Hands I've Let Go by Laura Chará. Deadline reported the lineup announcement.
