IDFA has revealed the 47 projects selected for IDFA Forum 2026, chosen from almost 900 submissions. The Forum runs November 15-18, within the festival's November 12-22 dates, according to deadline.com.

Projects are showcased across Forum Pitches, Roundtable Presentations, Rough Cut Presentations, and IDFA DocLab Forum. IDFA is revising the Forum setup with projects showcased either at Forum Pitches or Roundtable Presentations.

Twenty-nine projects have been selected for the Forum Pitches and Roundtable Presentations, while six projects have been selected for the Rough Cut Presentations. The IDFA DocLab Forum presents 12 new media projects.

Among the filmmakers whose previous work is part of the Forum's context: Juanjo Pereira, whose Under the Flags, the Sun (2025) was highly regarded; Wang Bing, known for Jiabiangou; Vitaly Mansky, known for Odesa.Mama; Rachel Leah Jones, known for Podium (You Have Three Minutes); and Liang Zhao, known for Ship of Fools.
