IDW to Release 344-Page Star Trek Kelvin Era Comics Collection
The $13.99 paperback gathers Star Trek: Countdown, Star Trek: Nero and the 2009 film's official adaptation on November 17, 2026.
IDW Publishing has announced Star Trek: The Kelvin Era–IDW Classic Collections, a 344-page paperback that brings together comics tied directly to the 2009 film Star Trek. The collection is priced at $13.99 and will be available to purchase on November 17, 2026, according to Screen Rant.
The oversized volume measures 6 x 9 inches and gathers three graphic novels: Star Trek: Countdown, Star Trek: Nero, and Star Trek: The Official Motion Picture Adaptation. Alongside the reprinted stories, the collection includes bonus content exploring the film's backstory and expanding on one of its central villains, the Romulan Nero.
Writers credited on the collected graphic novels include Mike Johnson, Tim Jones, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, with art by David Messina and Giovanna Niro. Kurtzman and Orci also co-wrote the 2009 film, which was directed by J.J. Abrams.
The 2009 film launched the Kelvin Timeline, which continued with Star Trek Into Darkness in 2013 and Star Trek Beyond in 2016. Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Karl Urban became the defining faces of that era across its three main films.
