J. Harrison Ghee Exits Oh, Mary! Tour, John-Andrew Morrison Stays

Producers say J. Harrison Ghee will not return to the Oh, Mary! tour; John-Andrew Morrison continues as Mary's Husband through the first year.

Producers announced on October 16, 2026 that J. Harrison Ghee will not return to the touring production of Oh, Mary!, according to Deadline. Ghee had previously announced a doctor-ordered two-month medical leave from the tour last month and was initially expected back on November 1.

The production said Ghee is being treated for kidney disease and left the tour to focus on their health, with the company's full support.

John-Andrew Morrison will continue in the role of Mary's Husband through the remainder of the tour's first year. Casting beyond the tour's first-year anniversary in January will be announced in the coming weeks.

Oh, Mary! was written by Cole Escola and directed by Sam Pinkleton. The Broadway production opened on July 11, 2024 and continues at the Lyceum Theatre. Ghee won a 2023 Tony Award for their performance in Some Like It Hot; Morrison was a 2022 Tony nominee for A Strange Loop.
