JAFF Market Names 14 Producers for First Exchange Program
The selected producers, including two Australians via the Adelaide Film Festival tie-up, get tailored meeting schedules during the Nov. 28-30 market in Yogyakarta.
JAFF Market has selected 14 producers for the debut edition of its Producers Exchange program, which will run during the market's third edition from Nov. 28-30 in Yogyakarta alongside the Jogja-Netpac Asian Film Festival, according to Variety.
The program gives each participant a tailored schedule of pre-booked meetings with JAFF Future Project teams, JAFF IP Connection rights holders, exhibitors and other delegates. Selected producers also receive four nights' lodging in Yogyakarta, market accreditation, networking events and screenings access, and exposure on official platforms.
The list spans the region and beyond. It includes Malaysian producer Wong Kew Soon; Rajib Mohajan, a U.S.-based producer representing Bangladesh and the U.S.; Singapore's Sam Chua Weishi and Wendy Lie; Shao-Yi Chen, general manager of Taiwan's Screenworks Asia; and Kimbo Kim, South Korean founder of the Seoul- and New York-based outfit 37th Degree.
Indonesia is represented by Nana Riskhi and Nick Musa, alongside Thailand's Phimphloi Nan Saensuk of IFA Bangkok, the Philippines' Danzen Santos Katanyag, president of Digital Dreams International, and Otgontuya Zorig, CEO of Mongolia's Repeater LLC.
The two Australian participants, Lisa Scott and Rae Choi, join through the market's tie-up with the Adelaide Film Festival. Amar Bank sponsors this year's JAFF Market. This year's JAFF festival runs Nov. 28-Dec. 5.
