Amazon MGM Sets Final Bond Screen Tests for This Week

At least four actors are testing for the role, with the auditions moved from earlier in October to the end of the month.

Amazon MGM Studios has scheduled the final screen tests for the next James Bond over the coming week, possibly beginning October 23, according to Deadline. At least four test offers have been extended to finalists for the role.

Jack Lowden, Callum Turner and Josh O'Connor are the three of the four expected actors reported, unconfirmed. The identity of the remaining finalist has not been reported.

The final auditions were moved from earlier in October to the end of the month because of schedule conflicts. No timeline has been set for a final decision, though most expect it by the end of the year.

How the search has unfolded

In the spring, the studio announced that casting director Nina Gold had joined the project and that the search was under way. After two months of meetings, Deadline reported that the first round of auditions would take place in August, and in September the studio worked out test offers for the final group.

This year Amazon MGM gained full creative control of the franchise and brought on producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman, then director Denis Villeneuve. Last summer, Steven Knight was tapped to write the script.
