Jeff Hays Confirms Princess Donut Return in Peacock's Dungeon Crawler Carl

Audiobook narrator Jeff Hays has confirmed he will return to voice Princess Donut in Peacock's live-action adaptation of Dungeon Crawler Carl, and said he does not plan to change how the character sounds for the series.

Hays discussed his approach to the role in an interview with Collider's Maggie Lovitt at New York Comic Con, alongside author Matt Dinniman.

He said the live-action production will require him to stay in character for longer stretches and to be more present on set, rather than recording his performance in a booth.

Peacock is developing the live-action series based on Matt Dinniman's Dungeon Crawler Carl novels. Christopher Yost and Eric Heisserer serve as co-showrunners, with Seth MacFarlane producing.

The streamer had previously announced that Hays, the audiobook narrator, would return to voice Princess Donut. Eight Dungeon Crawler Carl books have been released.
