Joy Behar Misses Fifth Straight Live Episode of The View
Whoopi Goldberg told viewers Behar is still out, and no return date has been announced for the co-host.
Joy Behar was absent from The View for a fifth straight live episode on Tuesday, according to comingsoon.net. Whoopi Goldberg said on air that Behar is still out, and Ana Navarro joined the panel for that day's show.
The View has not announced a return date for Behar. Last Thursday, Sunny Hostin told viewers that Behar had dislocated her shoulder, saying she was recovering and would be back soon. Hostin moderated that day while Sherri Shepherd guest co-hosted; Sara Haines moderated on Friday, when Hostin rejoined the panel; and original co-host Debbie Matenopoulos returned to lead Saturday's pre-taped Weekend View.
Behar's representative later told Page Six that she "caught a heel backstage," that the shoulder was not broken and had been put back in place, and that she was expected to return around the middle of the week.
In late 2025, Behar missed four consecutive episodes after injuring her foot, and showed the injury to viewers when she returned. Earlier in 2026, she took an extended break to travel to the United Kingdom, where she presented her play My First Ex-Husband on the London stage.
Goldberg is currently away filming the Netflix movie Women Like Us, produced by Barack Obama.
