Yuki Sato: Kabuto 20th Anniversary Sequel Gets Theatrical Run From November 6
Yuki Sato returns as Arata Kagami in Kamen Rider Kabuto 20th: Ten o Tsugu Mono, opening in limited theaters on November 6 ahead of a February 2027 home release.
Yuki Sato has discussed the V-Cinext 《Kamen Rider Kabuto 20th: Ten o Tsugu Mono》, which begins limited theatrical screenings on November 6 at Shinjuku Wald 9 and other venues, according to cinematoday.jp. The Blu-ray and DVD release is set for February 10, 2027.
Sato reprises his role as Arata Kagami in the sequel, which is set after the TV series. Kagami is now a father to a high school son, Yui, played by Asahi Araki.
In the interview, Sato said he asked for the new work to be a legitimate sequel to 《Kamen Rider Kabuto》 rather than a festival-style special, and that screenwriter Shoji Yonemura wrote the script accordingly. Sato also took part in the project as a presenter and recalled the results of the fan vote on the Kamen Rider Movie Project.
《Kamen Rider Kabuto》 aired from 2006 to 2007 as the seventh Heisei Kamen Rider series. The first news of the 20th-anniversary project was announced in April at the Kamen Rider 55th Anniversary Presentation, and in a fan vote held in January for the Kamen Rider Movie Project, the Kabuto project placed first, ahead of the previously released 《Agito - Chounouryoku Sensou -》.
