A new animated special titled How To Fast Train Your Furious Dragon has been released, bringing together three very different franchises: Lego Dreamzzz, the Fast & Furious movies, and How To Train Your Dragon.
In the special, the Lego Dreamzzz kids enter the dream world to race Fast & Furious cars and come up against How To Train Your Dragon dragons unleashed by the Nightmare King.
The crossover leans on two of the biggest action-fantasy properties in recent memory. How To Train Your Dragon began in 2010 with the DreamWorks fantasy comedy based on Cressida Cowell's 2003 novel, which earned $494 million on a $165 million budget. Sequels followed in 2017 and 2019, and a live-action remake arrived in 2025, earning $636 million on a $150 million budget.
Lego Dreamzzz, meanwhile, premiered in 2023 and has aired three seasons and 60 episodes. The Dragon franchise has also had a long life on television, from DreamWorks Dragons (2012, 118 episodes over eight seasons) to DreamWorks Dragons: Rescue Riders (2019-2022, 53 episodes across six seasons) and DreamWorks Dragons: The Nine Realms (eight seasons, 52 episodes).
