Bosch: Start of Watch features Cameron Monaghan as the young Harry Bosch. Titus Welliver, who played Harry Bosch in Bosch and Bosch: Legacy, does not appear in the new series.
A Lincoln Lawyer spinoff is planned for later in 2027, and Ballard season 2 will continue Maggie Q's Bosch spinoff.
Two franchises, one author
Both properties come from author Michael Connelly, who published the novel The Lincoln Lawyer in 2005. A film adaptation starring Matthew McConaughey followed in 2012, and a Netflix series starring Manuel Garcia-Rulfo debuted in 2022.
The Lincoln Lawyer was canceled by Netflix earlier this year. Bosch first arrived on Prime Video in 2014, and Harry Bosch was last seen onscreen in 2025's Ballard.
