Magneto Costume Artwork for Avengers: Doomsday Surfaces

New promotional artwork credited to HEXFacility shows Ian McKellen's Magneto in a high-collared tunic, grey cape and helmet for Avengers: Doomsday.

New promotional artwork for Avengers: Doomsday showing Ian McKellen's Magneto in his most complete costume look yet surfaced online on October 15, 2026. The photo is credited to HEXFacility.

The artwork depicts Magneto with his arms stretched wide, a grey cape and purple lightning behind him. His costume features a high-collared tunic, matching trousers, tall black boots, a helmet and an X-shaped belt buckle.

The Magneto image is part of a wider batch of at least 25 Avengers: Doomsday posters that have surfaced online. Some of the posters imitate vintage comic covers with a Marvel Studios logo corner box and a combined Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men emblem, while others spotlight Doctor Doom or his Doombots.

Marvel Studios first showed Magneto's red-heavy costume design through a Hot Toys collectible. McKellen has said Magneto destroys New Jersey in a major sequence in the film, and recalled filming a moment where he stood in the wind attempting to look furious.

Avengers: Doomsday is set for release on December 18, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars as the follow-up.
