Marvel Names Infernal Hulk's Team the Infernal Avengers

Marvel's press release confirms the Infernal Hulk leads a team called the Infernal Avengers, ahead of Hulk War: Infernal Rage #1.

Marvel has confirmed the official name of the Infernal Hulk's team: the Infernal Avengers. The studio revealed the name in a new press release promoting Hulk War: Infernal Rage #1, according to screenrant.com.

Hulk War: Infernal Rage #1 comes from writer Phillip Kennedy Johnson and artist Nic Klein. The issue's summary states that the Infernal Hulk declares the Marvel Universe his new kingdom.

Two one-shots on the schedule

Marvel has scheduled Infernal Hulk vs. Spider-Man #1 for November 4 and Infernal Hulk vs. Avengers #1 for December 2. The press release did not give a release date for Hulk War: Infernal Rage #1.

The announcement follows earlier glimpses of the character's forces. In May, Marvel published Amazing Spider-Man #1000/Queen in Black Comic Giveaway Day 2026 #1, which flashed forward to show a glimpse of the Infernal Hulk's monster army.

More recently, Infernal Hulk vs. Wolverine #1, from Johnson with Jonas Scharf, Alex Guimarães and letterer Cory Petit, seemed like it would add Logan to the Infernal Hulk's army. Instead, he turned out to be after longtime X-Man Jubilee. David Bridger, meanwhile, is a soldier deployed against the Hulk in Infernal Hulk #4. Artists on the wider line include Alessandro Cappuccio and Javier Pina.
