Miami Vice 4K Box Set With Director's Final Cut Due December 15, 2026
Shout! Factory's five-disc collector's set includes Michael Mann's Director's Final Cut, both cuts in 4K with Dolby Vision and behind-the-scenes extras.
Shout! Factory will release a five-disc 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray collector's box set of Michael Mann's Miami Vice, headlined by "The Director's Final Cut," assembled for the film's 20th anniversary. The set is scheduled to arrive on December 15, 2026, according to movieweb.com.
Both "The Director's Final Cut" and the original theatrical cut are presented in 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Vision, supervised and approved by Mann. The box set also includes behind-the-scenes featurettes, an original alternate cut with optional audio commentary by Mann, and the theatrical trailer.
Miami Vice was released on July 27, 2006, and ran 132 minutes. Directed by Mann, the film was adapted from the 1980s television series and starred Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell as undercover detectives Ricardo Tubbs and Sonny Crockett. It grossed $164 million worldwide against a $135 million budget and earned a 47% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The release lands ahead of Miami Vice '85, a forthcoming reboot directed by Joseph Kosinski and written by Dan Gilroy, with Michael B. Jordan as Tubbs and Austin Butler as Crockett. That film is set for summer 2028.
