Morgan Spector and Rebecca Hall have been cast as Robert Langdon and Katherine Solomon in Netflix's untitled series adaptation of Dan Brown's The Secret of Secrets, according to screenrant.com. The project, a collaboration between showrunner Carlton Cuse and Brown, is currently filming in Prague.

Spector takes on the role of Langdon, the Harvard symbology professor at the center of Brown's novels, while Hall plays Katherine Solomon, a noetic scholar. The two actors are married in real life.

The series has not yet been given a title. Cuse, known for his work as a showrunner, is developing the adaptation with Brown, the author of the source novel.

A franchise with mixed screen history

Langdon has been adapted for the screen before. Tom Hanks played the character in Ron Howard's film trilogy: The Da Vinci Code in 2006, which earned $800 million at the worldwide box office, followed by Angels & Demons with $485 million and Inferno with $220 million.

On television, Peacock's The Lost Symbol, starring Ashley Zuckerman, was canceled after one 10-episode season; it holds a 60% critics' score and a 47% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Katherine Solomon was first introduced in that novel, The Lost Symbol.
