Netflix says Narnia trailer hit 481.3M views in seven days
The first-week figure tops the trailers for Barbie, Wonka and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and the clip briefly crashed NarniaFilm.com.
Netflix said the trailer for Greta Gerwig's Narnia: The Magician's Nephew drew more than 481.3 million views in its first seven days, according to figures from WaveMetrix cited by deadline.com.
The seven-day total exceeds the trailer viewership of Barbie (240 million), Wonka (237.2 million) and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (281.6 million). The trailer also reached No. 1 trending on X and is the top trending movie trailer on YouTube and NarniaFilm.com, which briefly crashed from traffic.
Gerwig debuted the trailer on Oct. 13 in New York City at an exclusive Imax sneak peek event, in conversation with Stephen Colbert. It marks the first time Led Zeppelin has licensed Stairway to Heaven for use in a film or trailer. Guitarist and songwriter Jimmy Page praised Gerwig as a powerhouse in cinema and said he was thrilled she chose the song for her film's trailer.
Netflix ran global paid media for the launch across social, connected TV and out-of-home, including TikTok, Reddit, Meta, X, Snap, Pinterest and YouTube.

The film stars Emma Mackey, Daniel Craig, Carey Mulligan, Meryl Streep, Denise Gough and Ciarán Hinds, with Gerwig adapting. It is produced by Amy Pascal, Mark Gordon, Vincent Sieber and Gerwig.
