Netflix reported that its thriller series Below topped the platform's English TV chart with 17 million views for the week of October 5-11, 2026, according to the streamer. Netflix said the result marks the highest debut viewership for a Canadian TV show on the service.
The series stars Josh Hartnett as Calvin Penney and is set in Snooks Arm, Newfoundland. It holds an 87% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and sits at #1 on FlixPatrol as of October 16, 2026. It was the top English TV show for the week of October 5 to October 11, 2026, per FlixPatrol.
Netflix's disclosure of the 17 million views for October 5-11, 2026 covers the same seven-day window that FlixPatrol tracked for the English TV chart. The platform did not release additional figures for the series.
Hartnett told Sharp Magazine in an interview in August 2026 that he joined the series after reading creator and showrunner Jesse McKeown's script. McKeown created and runs the show.
