Next Generation Collective Launches Youth Mental Health Initiative
The initiative, announced at Hollywood & Mind's inaugural summit in New York City, will support young people in entertainment, music and the creator economy.
Next Generation Collective launched an initiative on Tuesday with The Kids Mental Health Foundation to support the mental health of young people working in entertainment, music and the creator economy. The announcement was made at Hollywood & Mind's inaugural summit at iHeartMedia in New York City.
The initiative will provide guidance on mental health, boundaries and pressure for young people working on set, performing and building a public profile. It will also serve as a resource for studios, productions, agencies, managers and platforms that support young talent.
The Kids Mental Health Foundation will provide clinical guidance and insights for the Collective's mental health educational resources, while Hollywood & Mind will connect the Collective with talent, executives, advocates and wellness professionals, and partner on programming.
Lilah Kojoori, who founded Next Generation Collective and has more than 20 years of experience working with young performers and their families, leads the effort. Its Founding Advisory Board includes Angel Carter Conrad, Logan Henderson, Isabela Merced, Kel Mitchell, Soleil Moon Frye, Carmela Wallace, Hudson Yang, Breanna Yde and Artists for Artists.
Beginning in 2027, Next Generation Collective will work with its Founding Advisory Board and partners to develop resources and support.
