Writer-director Nick Simon has signed with the agency IAG, according to Deadline. The signing follows the Fantastic Fest premiere of his film What Happened to Doris?

What Happened to Doris? stars Heather Graham, who is also an IAG client. The film is based on a true story and centers on Doris Bither, a single mother who in 1974 reported being attacked by unseen entities in her Culver City home.

Simon directed from a script by Thomas Fenton, with Spooky Pictures' Roy Lee and Steven Schneider among the producers.

Background

Simon began his career in music videos and attended the American Film Institute, where he was mentored by Wes Craven. He directed and co-wrote The Girl in the Photographs, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival, and co-wrote 20th Century Fox's The Pyramid. He also directed Truth or Dare, directed, co-wrote and produced the 2021 horror comedy Untitled Horror Movie, and wrote and executive produced the psychological thriller Coyotes, starring Justin Long and Kate Bosworth.
