Nicole Stott Joins Magna Studios as Non-Fiction Executive Producer

The former head of A24's documentary division will work with SVP Non-Fiction Oliver Calleja and creative director Louis Mole on docs and limited series.

Nicole Stott, formerly head of A24's documentary division, has joined Magna Studios as an executive producer in its non-fiction division, Deadline reported. At Magna she will work alongside SVP Non-Fiction Oliver Calleja, creative director Louis Mole and the wider team on documentary features and limited series.

Magna Studios produced the Disney+ documentary Oasis: Don't Look Back In Anger. The company is run by former Pulse Films executives Marisa Clifford and Davud Karbassioun and is owned by Lumina Media, which was founded by Thomas Benski.

Earlier tenure at A24

A24 shut down its documentary division last year, before which Stott was its division head. While there she worked on titles including The Yogurt Shop Murders and Nuisance Bear, a Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner. A24 was in production on the Elizabeth Holmes documentary You Can See Everything at the time, though Stott did not work directly on it.

Before A24, Stott was co-head of non-fiction at Concordia Studio and led London's Passion Pictures documentaries for a decade. Magna's recent output also includes Sky's The Pembrokeshire Murders and an upcoming Lily Allen feature for Prime Video.
