Trailer Debuts for Documentary Odd Man In Ahead of Festival Premiere

The short documentary Odd Man In, directed by Matt Nadel, will hold its world premiere at the Woodstock Film Festival before screening at the New Orleans Film Festival on October 24.

The first trailer for the short documentary Odd Man In has been released exclusively by Deadline, ahead of the film's world premiere at the Woodstock Film Festival in New York.

Directed by Matt Nadel, the documentary is executive produced by Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Caroline Waterlow. Ferguson also voices the words of author Donald Webster Cory in the film, which is produced by Nadel, Luke Hodges and Peter Lansworth.

After its Woodstock premiere, Odd Man In will screen at the New Orleans Film Festival on October 24. The film will air at a future date on the PBS series Independent Lens.

In 1951, Cory published The Homosexual in America, described as one of the first nonfiction accounts of gay life in the United States and a surprise bestseller. In the mid-1960s, his views took a dramatic turn, putting him at odds with the movement he had helped build.

Nadel made the Oscar shortlist with his 2024 documentary Cashing Out, while Waterlow won an Academy Award for producing O.J.: Made in America.
