Oscar Shaw Tops Starz U.S. Chart, Ousting Jason Statham's Shelter
The action film hit No. 1 on Starz's U.S. Top 10 within days of its October 1 streaming debut, passing Shelter.
Oscar Shaw has become the most-watched movie on Starz in the United States, reaching No. 1 on the platform's U.S. Top 10 within days of its October 1 streaming debut, according to movieweb.com.
The film moved past Jason Statham's Shelter, which had held the top spot on the Starz chart.
Oscar Shaw arrived on Starz on October 1 after an earlier release cycle on other formats.
Shelter's long chart run ends
Shelter, released earlier in the year, had been in the Starz Top 10 for nearly 150 days, a stretch that made its slide from the top notable. The film barely made back its budget during its theatrical run.
Oscar Shaw first received a limited theatrical release in January before heading to video on demand. Michael Jai White, who led the 2009 film Black Dynamite and portrayed Al Simmons in the live-action Spawn movie, is among the names associated with the action genre that Oscar Shaw now leads on Starz.
