Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Episode 6 Introduces Black Jack Randall

Episode 6 of Season 2 of Outlander: Blood of My Blood, titled "Small Mercies," has aired, and it brings a young Black Jack Randall into the story. According to Collider, the episode follows Dougal after his capture in battle, where he is tortured under Captain Lord Gerard Grey.

Brian Fraser and Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser arrive to rescue Dougal. In the course of that rescue, Brian stops Dougal from killing the young Black Jack Randall, whose introduction marks a new connection to the wider Outlander story.

Sam Retford plays Dougal in the series, the eldest of the MacKenzie family. The episode places the character under Captain Lord Gerard Grey, one of the figures holding him after the battle.

Collider reports that the episode pairs Dougal's ordeal with the arrival of Brian and Murtagh, setting up a confrontation in which a young Black Jack Randall survives.
