David Ellison and Ynon Kreiz announced on Tuesday that the Paramount Skydance-Warner Bros. Discovery merger deal is complete, according to Bleeding Cool.
With the deal closed, James Gunn and Peter Safran were named Co-Chairmen of DC Studios, joining the newly merged company's CEO Business Leadership Team.
DC Studios was defined as leading a unified DCU strategy across film, TV, animation and gaming.
The appointment of Gunn and Safran to the CEO Business Leadership Team had been announced a day before the merger completion. In October 2025, James Gunn's Superman film was released.
