A first season that ended with Carrie on the road
Season 1 ended with Carrie alive and leaving town in the passenger seat of her friend Emaline's car. Mike Flanagan serves as writer, executive producer and showrunner on the adaptation of Stephen King's novel, and King is an executive producer.
The series is the second Prime Video show based on MGM/UA intellectual property to launch since Amazon acquired MGM in 2022. In the past six months, Prime Video YA series Elle, Off Campus, Every Year After and Sterling Point were all renewed.
