Primetime Loses 1,400 Theaters Three Weeks Into Release
Robert Pattinson's Oscar-contending drama is pulled from 1,400 theaters as new releases arrive, according to Collider.
Primetime, the psychological drama starring Robert Pattinson, has been removed from 1,400 theaters after three weeks in release, according to Collider. The film is making way for several new releases, among them You Can See Everything.
The reduction follows a run in which Primetime exceeded box-office expectations in North America. The film has drawn largely supportive reviews, with much of the praise directed at Pattinson's performance.
Primetime is a psychological drama based on Dateline NBC's reality series To Catch a Predator, with Pattinson playing host Chris Hansen. Hansen has criticized the film, saying he was not consulted.
Director Lance Oppenheim also co-directed You Can See Everything, a three-hour documentary about Elizabeth Holmes, which arrives this week in more than 800 theaters through A24. Nathan Fielder co-directed the documentary and appears in it.
Pattinson's Busy Slate
Pattinson remains in the running for a Best Actor nomination for Primetime. In 2026 he starred in A24's The Drama, which grossed around $135 million worldwide against a reported $28 million budget. He also appeared in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, which grossed nearly $1.8 billion globally.
