Reacher Authors React to The Boys' Parody Joke
Lee Child and Andrew Child told Screen Rant they are happy Reacher is famous enough to be parodied on The Boys.
Lee Child and Andrew Child said they are happy that The Boys mocked Reacher, according to Screen Rant. The authors responded to a joke aimed at their character in the first episode of The Boys' final season.
In that episode, a character writes a Reacher script containing a crass line about the character. The Childs told Screen Rant that any mention is good and that they were pleased the character had become famous enough to be parodied.
The response comes after Reacher's fourth season concluded with its finale on September 16. The 31st Reacher book, Chain Reaction, releases on October 20, and Season 5 of the series is set to premiere in 2027.
The Boys wrapped up with its fifth and final season in May of this year. Creator Eric Kripke previously said he was pleased with the response to a parody character in the finale, while Elon Musk publicly reacted negatively to that character.
