Resident Evil topped the global weekend box office in its fourth frame with $62.7M worldwide, according to Deadline. The film's international cume reached $181.7M on more than 38,150 screens across 67 offshore markets.
The China release accounted for a $40.6M opening, the best horror opening in the country in the last two years. Japan added $3.6M. Imax contributed $8.8M this weekend, $7.7M of it from China, bringing its Imax total to $32.8M.
With the latest results, the film has become director Zach Cregger's highest-grossing movie ever at $320.2M worldwide. In October 2025, Cregger's Weapons, which won an Oscar, grossed $270M worldwide.
