Roku posts $1.5B quarter as Fox merger clears overseas hurdles
Fox said the $22 billion deal has won shareholder approval and cleared major regulatory reviews outside the U.S., with the Justice Department still reviewing it.
Roku reported third-quarter revenue of $1.5 billion on November 2, 2026, up 24% year over year, as Fox said its $22 billion merger with the streaming platform has cleared all major regulatory hurdles outside the U.S. and received shareholder approval, according to Deadline.
Earnings per share reached $1.20 in the quarter, compared with 16 cents a year earlier. Advertising revenue rose 23% to $727.4 million, and streaming hours on Roku TVs and connected devices climbed 9% to 39.9 billion.
The U.S. Department of Justice antitrust division is still reviewing the transaction. Fox expects the merger to close in the first half of 2027.
A hardware business alongside the platform
Roku-branded TVs now account for nearly 8% of U.S. TV sales by volume, roughly three years after the company began making its own sets rather than only licensing its interface. Rival Vizio is now owned by Walmart.
Political advertising on Roku in the third quarter exceeded the comparable quarter of the 2024 U.S. presidential election cycle.
