SNL UK's Weekend Update Mocks Shane Gillis Over Monologue, F-Bomb
Co-host Ania Magliano aimed a profane joke at the comedian while Saturday Night Live was off air for the weekend.
SNL UK's "Weekend Update" segment took aim at Shane Gillis, with co-host Ania Magliano delivering a profane joke at his expense, according to Deadline. The segment aired while Saturday Night Live was off for the weekend.
Magliano's joke referenced Gillis's complaint during last weekend's SNL opening monologue that women "dress like whores now" at the gym. She also mocked him for accidentally dropping the F-bomb during a sketch on the show, and called him a "stupid fucking cunt" in the segment.
The comedian hosted Saturday Night Live last weekend and apologized quickly after the expletive slipped out during a sketch.
Gillis previously hosted SNL in 2024 and 2025. In 2019, he was removed from the show's featured cast days after being announced, following resurfaced videos of him mocking Asian accents and using ethnic and gay slurs.
