Spider-Man: Brand New Day Tops iTunes After Digital Release

Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrived on digital download on October 6, 2026, through Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, and immediately claimed the No. 1 spot on the iTunes top movie downloads chart, according to comingsoon.net.

The film is available to rent for $24.99 and to purchase for $29.99. It leads the iTunes chart ahead of Coyote vs. Acme and The End of Oak Street, with The Invite, PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, and Insidious: Out of the Further also in the top ten.

Physical releases follow later: Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD editions are set for December 15. Sony has also confirmed plans for a theatrical re-release with additional footage, including a restored scene featuring Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple.

A record-setting theatrical run

Before its digital debut, the film grossed $2.506 billion worldwide and became the third-highest-grossing film of all time. It is also the highest-grossing movie ever in the United States and Canada, with a $360 million domestic opening weekend that broke the record previously held by Avengers: Endgame.

The film holds a 90% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 435 reviews, and audiences polled by CinemaScore gave it an average grade of "A." Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, it stars Tom Holland, Sadie Sink, and Jon Bernthal.
