Sony Pictures is working on a theatrical rerelease of Spider-Man: Brand New Day that will include new footage, The Hollywood Reporter reported on Monday.
The move comes as the film continues to draw audiences. In October 2025, Spider-Man: Brand New Day had grossed more than $950 million domestically — the highest ever — and $2.49 billion worldwide, ranking No. 3 all-time.
Cast members credit Holland and online buzz
Florence Pugh said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that Tom Holland's past comments led to her being cast in the film. At the 2021 premiere for Spider-Man: No Way Home, Holland told Entertainment Tonight he wanted to work with Pugh. Pugh starred in Thunderbolts for Marvel last year.
Sadie Sink also appeared on The Tonight Show, saying online speculation about her casting preceded the studio asking her to join the film by two days.
