Stargate: Timekeepers Expands to Consoles as Amazon Shelves New TV Series

Stargate fans have a new way to return to the franchise. Stargate: Timekeepers, the real-time tactics game from developer Slitherine Ltd., is expanding beyond PC with console versions announced for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in December 2025.

The game first launched on PC in January 2024. Its story unfolds around the end of Stargate SG-1 season 7 and the Battle of Antarctica, placing players in command of a fresh squad. That team is led by Commander Eva McCain and includes sniper Max Bolton, technical expert Sam Watson, drone specialist Derreck Harper, Jaffa rebel A'ta, and Unas warrior Xugga.

Timekeepers offers a 14-mission campaign, with Part 2 released in October 2024. The original Stargate SG-1 ran for ten seasons and more than 200 episodes, building the audience that the game and any future screen projects would draw on.

A TV Revival Stalls

On the television side, Amazon MGM Studios greenlit a new Prime Video Stargate series in November 2025, with Martin Gero as showrunner and Brad Wright and Joseph Mallozzi involved. In June 2026, however, Amazon MGM decided not to move forward with the series.

For now, the console release of Stargate: Timekeepers keeps the franchise active in gaming while the planned streaming revival remains off the schedule, as reported by Screen Rant.
