Meanwhile, Starfleet Academy is approaching the end of its current run, and Paramount+ has not announced its next Star Trek series. Paramount+ executive Jane Wiseman said the company is talking with writers and working with CBS Studios on the franchise's next direction. Following the Paramount-Skydance merger, the studio chose not to continue the reboot films and is working on a new feature film in development.
