Street Fighter: The Movie opened in Japanese theaters on October 16, 2026. A live-painting and box-office-hit prayer event was held the same day at Lawson United Cinemas STYLE-S Minatomirai, according to inside-games.jp.

Voice actor Nada Gi, Street Fighter 6 game director Nakayama Takayuki and Street Fighter 6 character design team leader Ochi Takeshi appeared on stage. A live painting featuring Ryu, Ken, Vega, Akuma, Cammy and Chun-Li was displayed at the venue before the event.

Nakayama said he joined the production of the film about three years ago. He also noted that the film's Ken is played by Cody Rhodes.

Ochi said the digital draft of the event illustration took about 10 hours, and that campaign colors matching the film were created, including Ken's wine-red gi.
