Netflix confirmed the film will remain available exclusively on the service through November 30, 2027. The move follows Universal Pictures' existing streaming deal with Netflix for its animated films.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie arrived in theaters in March 2026. After three months in theaters, it became the first movie of the year to cross $1 billion at the global box office. The sequel fell short of its predecessor's $1.3 billion haul but became the second-highest-grossing video game adaptation of all time.
The film first streamed on Peacock in July 2026. Netflix also recently released Sacrifice, starring Anya Taylor-Joy, who voices Princess Peach in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, alongside Chris Evans and directed by Romain Gavras. The film is performing well on the streamer.
