Tarantino Says He Has Written His Final Film Script
The director told The Graham Norton Show he will not shoot his tenth film until after his Broadway play and a family break.
Quentin Tarantino said on The Graham Norton Show that he has written a script for his tenth and final film, according to movieweb.com. He did not give any details about the project.
Tarantino said he wants to stage his play The Popinjay Cavalier first and then spend time with his family before deciding his next move. The swashbuckling farce, starring Sacha Baron Cohen, begins Broadway previews in February 2027.
The director's next credited project arrives sooner. The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, written by Tarantino and directed by David Fincher, opens in IMAX theaters on November 25, 2026, and streams on Netflix from December 23.
Django/Zorro in development at Sony
Sony Pictures has hired Brian Helgeland to write Django/Zorro, an adaptation of the comic crossover Tarantino wrote with Matt Wagner for Dynamite Comics. The studio is developing the film with Tarantino's blessing.
In 2024, Tarantino scrapped a script titled The Movie Critic. In 2022, he had planned a Django Unchained and Zorro crossover film with Jerrod Carmichael co-writing, but the project stalled and led to the comic instead.
