The Fall Guy Finds New Life on VOD After $181M Box Office Run

The Fall Guy may have underperformed in theaters, but the 2024 action-comedy is finding a second audience on digital platforms. The film, starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, is currently among the most popular VOD rentals and purchases on Prime Video and Apple TV.

Released in 2024 with a production budget of around $130 million, The Fall Guy grossed approximately $181 million in theaters. Its estimated break-even point was around $275 million, meaning the theatrical run alone fell short of profitability.

The strong VOD performance suggests the film is recouping some of that gap through home entertainment. Gosling's star power remains a draw: he starred in Barbie, which grossed $1 billion, and he is set to lead Project Hail Mary as well as the Star Wars film Starfighter, directed by Shawn Levy.
