The Martian Spends 100 Days in Apple TV Top 10 Despite Streaming Absence

Ridley Scott's 2015 science-fiction film The Martian has been in the top 10 on the VOD platform Apple TV for more than 100 days, according to Collider. The film, starring Matt Damon and inspired by Andy Weir's novel of the same name, is currently absent from streaming platforms.

The title's sustained position on the Apple TV chart comes as a VOD performance indicator; the facts do not specify rental or purchase figures.

In the background, Damon starred with Ben Affleck in the Netflix crime thriller The Rip at the beginning of 2026, which pulled over 100 million views in its initial viewing period.

Damon also reunited with director Christopher Nolan on the historical epic The Odyssey, which recently passed $1.5 billion at the global box office. The Jason Bourne films landed on Netflix at the start of October 2026, and Weir wrote the novel that inspired the 2026 box office hit Project Hail Mary.
