The Christopher Nolan film returns to U.S. and Canadian theaters in all formats, including Imax and Imax 70mm, after a limited run in October.
Universal is bringing Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey back to theaters in the U.S. and Canada starting Dec. 11, with the re-release set for more than 1,000 screens in all formats, including Imax and Imax 70mm, according to Variety.
The wide return follows a limited Imax and Imax 70mm run in early October 2026.
The film first opened on July 17, 2026, and grossed $626 million domestically and $1.8 billion worldwide, making it Universal's and Nolan's highest-grossing film to date.
It finished 2026 as the year's second-highest-grossing release, behind Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and was the first movie shot entirely in Imax. It set records for the highest-grossing Imax film of all time, at $550 million worldwide in three months, and for the biggest domestic opening in Imax 70mm.
